The Sea Shell Afghan pattern you have here is the exact same pattern I used for the girls' afghans that I made years ago. It's super easy, and you just fly through it. I actually did the last third of the yellow one I made for Elizabeth on the plane to Colorado. One thing I can point out though, if you're using a standard weight yarn, Simply Soft is a good inexpensive one, using a smaller hook allows the afghan to fluff a bit more, and maintain it's shape a bit longer. Add a few sets of stiches so it maintains the width and a few rows to keep the length. I noticed the more mine was used to snuggle up in, the more it expanded. Just a note. =)
Hi Honey,
I think you got this pattern from me. I've had this pattern since we lived in Plano. I have made so many of these and I love them. The last ones (2) I made I used "Bernat - Cottontots", 100% Cotton yarn in "Sweet Cream" colour. It took 2 skeins to complete the baby afghan. This yarn is just beautiful as is the "Simply Soft" which I have used many times in the past. Check out the yarn I mentioned above and give it a try. It has a different appearance and the appeal leans towards clean and simple.
