What a week, already!

David in Denver yesterday, tonight and tomorrow on business.

Parker has his Endocrinology appt. tomorrow in Denver that David is going to meet us at. The rest of the kids are staying home from school since I have no idea how long this appt will take and I can't afford for anyone to need to call home sick from school while we're in Denver.

Thursday finds us (all of the kids) spending the a.m. at Tim's office with everyone getting their teeth cleaned and then we have the afternoon, starting at 12:40 doing Parent-Teacher conferences for our elementary group. Those are expected to take about 20 min's a piece.

Parker is sick and we have an appt at 1 p.m. today to find out if it is allergies or strep that will supposedly turn into pneumonia. Which of course could effect our appt in Denver tomorrow that we've had set up for almost 2 months now. Also it could effect his dental appt for Thursday.
Whew. I think that covers about everything in the pending department. I'm ready for a lunch out, now.

Olivia modeling my latest addition to the grocery bag pile.
Still working on the knitting/crocheting. Have
completed, with Kaitlyn and Olivia's help, about 6 dishrags. I absolutely love them. They clean wonderfully. Washing them is a breeze! They are very color fast. I washed the orange, red and cream together and none came out with any odd color combo's. I also dried them together and the only potential problem was that the orange left a little fuzz on the cream one, which I quickly picked off with out difficulty.

As for other projects I have going. 2 pairs of socks (1 that stays in the car to be worked on there and the other for the house), 1 sweater and more dishrags and another grocery bag.
I did pick up most of the yarn for Jolie's new blanket. She doesn't know about it yet. I'm hoping to have it completed as a Christmas present for her, but we'll see if I can do it without her finding out about it. This one is going to be purple, green, yellow, blue, white and a multi of those colors.
The boys have now officially asked for a pair of socks that Mom, herself, has made. So those will be my next "car" projects.

Sad news. After 6 years in business my very favorite yarn shoppe, The Taos Sunflower, in Arroyo Seco closed its doors for good after the Taos Wool Festival (Oct. 4 - 5). So the yarn I bought there for the baby blanket is the last time I ever stepped foot in their door. [sigh] I really enjoyed going down there to shop for wonderful yarns and having the avaiability to shop between two separate stores. So now, to my knowledge, "La Lana Wools" is the only yarn store in Taos for the time being. They are a bit more expensive than the Sunflower was but just as nice and easier to get to (walking distance of the B&B). Well I guess that means at some point in the near future we'll have to make a trip down there for some more in depth investigating into La Lana Wools.
