Finishing and Adding.....

Another scarf finished and this one is just beautiful. (Unfortunately I don't have the gift of being a photographer or even having the eye of one. So please bear with my lack of ability.) The color is a wonderful old gold and the yarn is just wonderfully soft and supple.

This picture shows the pattern better.

If you pull this picture up you see the gorgeous blue. In the light it almost shimmers. David really loves the pattern of this particular scarf and says that it reminds him of chain mail.
Another Softail addition to the neighborhood. Jen and Bob made the jump today and showed up to surprise us with their addition. How exciting! We remember all to well coming home with our new bikes and being anxious to show them to friends and family.
Their new bike is particularly beautiful. The color is outstanding and the bike is definitely classic in its styling a nod to the first Softails. Notice the white wall tires.
They are outta here in a couple of weeks for a weekend in Taos, NM. (I'm jealous all ready!) So they need to put the miles on the bike before then to get it broken in. I think we may be doing some riding tomorrow for Mother's Day. I hope the weather is accommodating.

Congratulations!

Finished. All 27,000 stitches of it. Its so soft and blocked up very nicely.

Remember the song "Working on a Chain Gang"? My kids were probably singing it right about then. Not one of them thought well of me that afternoon. Oh well, I've always told them that I'm the meanest mom around. Do you think they believed me then? Later after all the rocks were back in their right places.....

We had a visitor stop by and take in the view from the corner of our deck. Quite tall he was.

After all that and the sprinkling rain had definitely started all the kiddos were rewarded for jobs well done. The ice-cream man (quickly becoming a fast friend) made an appearance and soothed every ones minds with some wonderful ice-cream treats.

Go! Jolie Go! Can that girl hula hoop! Wow!

Olivia's first date. Yes, I mean date. Though I have to admit to ignorance until the corsage showed up. This is Olivia's special friend, Tanner. He asked Olivia to go to the Sock Hop and low and behold he showed up all decked out and with the corsage. They were so cute together.

Olivia admiring her first corsage.

Above is the first race of the LandSharks. There must have been 200 people there, at least. This is the beginning of the 800M and Olivia started out in the front of the pack. She's the only brown headed girl in the red shirts. She didn't win, but she didn't come in last either.
Just a nice pic of Max relaxing. Wish I could do that. "grin"
