Saturday...

I do believe this is probably the laziest Saturday I've had in many years. I've knitted and basically just sat around waiting for Devonia to need me for something. Thankfully she is resting well today and hopefully will do the same tonight.

I did run out for about an hour earlier because of a discrepancy in my instructions for the purple sweater. The http://www.woolieewe.com/ in Plano is part of my old stomping ground so I quickly ran over there and actually talked to Susan (one of the owners) about my pattern. She was kind enough to sit down and figure it out with me. Unfortunately we figured it out wrong. Given the inaccurate information that I passed on to Susan she came up with the corrections. What I didn't do before heading over there was check the http://www.berroco.com/ website to see if there were corrections on their site for the "Napoli" pattern that I'm working on. I learn something new every time. So after much consideration this afternoon I decided to completely rip out everything I had done and start over with the supposed correct instructions. I've braced myself, already, as reading through the instructions I can already spot another problem.

As an aside. Susan and I started talking, she wanted to know where in Colorado we'd moved to all those years ago and I told her that my Mom and Dad had moved to Fairview a couple of years ago. Which is one of the reasons why I'm back in the Plano area on a more frequent basis. "Oh! Are they in Heritage Ranch?" So obviously the conversation became centered on location. Turns out Susan is getting married and moving out of Heritage Ranch, back into the Plano city limits. She is, right now, located on the east side of the entrance to the 55 and older community and my parents are located on the west side. So they can probably see each others homes at this point. Turns out Susan and her daughter own and operate "The Woolie Ewe". Also turns out they ship all over the world. Sorry David!

The picture I've posted today is of "my spot". Can you see my computer? shoes? coffee cup? stack of movies under the table? knitting on the TV table? I have claimed this area as my own for the duration of my stay. Even Choko knows not to enter the hallowed area.

If your looking for something to read check out "The Yarn Harlot" entry for October 3rd. http://www.yarnharlot.ca/blog/ I just absolutely cracked up reading it. You don't have to knit to read the blog. She is hilarious! I wish I had an opportunity meet this lady. There are also other blogs that I frequent. They are listed just to the top and right of this post in "My Blog List". Check some of them out when you have a chance.
