Sunday at the Park & Teaching some Knitting...

Today we met Jen, Tony and Miss McKenna over at the America the Beautiful Park in the downtown area. We've never been there before. I wish I had known about it. Lots of room and plenty of stuff to do for the family. Moving on.....
It has taken about 10 months for all of us to get together. Every time Jen and I would have the schedules ironed out one of my crew would get sick or hurt which would change the date. Getting into the car today was an emotional moment for me. Realizing that THIS date was going to really happen. Arriving at the part we didn't see Jen or Tony so we headed off into the park for a little exploring.

Here is the fountain that is closed for the season. During the summer it is running for people to play in the water and surprisingly the fountain turns.

This is the kids meeting McKenna for the first time. She looks like she's getting ready to take on an army. McKenna quickly warmed up to the kids are was off and running with them. Olivia and Jolie showed more interest in McKenna than the boys, which is pretty much what I expected, especially with play equipement so close .

Olivia and Jolie loved pushing McKenna around the play area in her stroller, which allowed the adults to visit for a bit.

Jen and I talked Knitting and I have to admit that Jen is a quick learner. She is going to be a great knitter and it won't be long before I'm asking her to make stuff for me. She is definitely going to be fast! I'm anxious hear about her first project and see the finished product. I'm sure it will be stunning.
