Finally! Our first snow, a birthday and knitting...

November...... Colorado....... 1st SNOW?

Yep. It was late coming this year. Now,... There are all sorts of predictions about what type of winter we're going to have. Dry but cold, Dry and warm!, Cold and humid but no snow, Tons of snow but not very cold. The list goes on and on. We don't really care, I guess, unless given a choice betwixt a small ice age occurance or suddenly having the mojave desert move into our area and we'll experience 90* and above temps for the next 6 months. Then I'd have to make a serious choice.
Strange occurances....
a completed project. Its a hat. A warm hat. One that will cover the ears. AND! its cute.
My problem. Yes, my problem. 2 months ago I ordered this yarn. LOVE the yarn. LOVE the pattern. Have knit to guage.
Saturday I reached the half way point in my 10 skeins of yarn for this project. Unfortunately I didn't reach the half way point in the project at the same time. I'm 19 rows short. 19 rows. About half a skein. So I get to call Knit Picks this a.m. and see if they still have this yarn in the color lot that I have. Please have this yarn!
Jake. Evil eyes. But we love him just the same. He turns 8 on the 14th. Happy Birthday, Jake!
