Last visits... for a while.

Slipped out last night for a quick visit with Karen while she is in town. This is her last trip to the Springs working for USOC. She is joining the Army (read her Dec. 6th post) and will be stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC. We're going to miss having her fly into town and cheer us up for a few days with her stories and opportunities for dinner at Mirsh Masala.

I did get to re-measure her foot. When David
printed off an outline of her foot something happened and her outline ended up being the same size as my own foot. Karen wears a larger shoe than I do. So with her coming into town it was the perfect opportunity to press the issue and have her take her shoe and sock off in a cold car to draw the outline. She was a good sport considering how I know she just LOVES the cold. ;-)

I finished my meds yesterday and so did David. Now we have 6 more people to go. All the kids are doing great. Our intent is for everyone to be well for a quick trip to Texas to visit my parents and a wonderful friend of mine who is dealing with Chemo. We can't afford for anyone to bring an illness on this trip.
Snow still on the ground from this last winter storm. Will probably be for another day or so. At least the roads are fine. But we're now starting to hear about another storm headed our way. I think Karen will just barely make it out of town before the next one hits!
